Tissot Watch Legacy

The + in the Tissot logo symbolizes Swiss quality and reliability. Since 1853, Tissot has created fine watches assembled and inspected in Switzerland, which are now sold in more than 160 countries worldwide. Tissot combines special materials, advanced functionalities, and meticulous design, and is guided by its signature: Innovators by Tradition. Tissot watches are available for both men and women only from trusted Tissot watch dealers, including Jared.

Tissot is a subsidiary of the Swiss Swatch Group, the world's largest watch distributor and producer. The Tissot brand was the first to introduce "T-Touch" technology. Invented in 1999, the technology uses crystals to control various functions like the thermometer, compass and barometer.

Tissot as Official Timekeeper

The high caliber of the brand has led to its being recognized as Official Timekeeper across the world of professional sports and competition: basketball with the NBA and FIBA; cycling with Tour de France and the UCI World Cycling Championships; motorsports with MotoGPTM and the FIM World Superbike Championship; rugby with the RBS 6 Nations Championship, TOP14, European Rugby Champions and Challenge Cups; fencing with its World Championships; plus ice hockey and the Arena Football League. This strong connection to the sports world has led to a range of stars and celebrates preferring Tissot watches, including NBA All-star Tony Parker, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, and Indian film star Deepika Padukone.

Tissot Watch Care

To keep your Jared Tissot watch in top condition, clean it regularly using a soft cloth and warm water. For metal brackets and for all water-resistant cases, use a toothbrush with soapy water and a soft cloth for drying. Do not expose your watch to intense magnetic fields such as loudspeakers or refrigerators and other electromagnetic appliances. Avoid direct contact with solvents, detergents, perfumes and cosmetic products since these items can damage the bracelet, case, or gaskets on the watch.

Tissot watches can come in self-winding and manual-winding movement modes. The difference is the way you wind the watches. Manual-winding watches must be wound each day and self-winding watches have an internal rotor activated by wrist movements. 10 to 12 hours of wearing a Tissot watch should keep the watch going for 24 hours a day.

The battery life in a Tissot watch varies. On average, a battery will last two to five years. The Tissot watch does have a power reserve warning indicator to let you know when the watch battery is running low. If you see the second hand jumping every four seconds, you know it is time to replace the battery.
