ON HER DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

My design philosophy is rooted in the classics. I believe in simple, elegant designs that enhance the beauty of any bride. That is why creating an exclusive fine jewelry collection is a natural extension of my passion for bridal design. The timeless designs will be treasured for an eternity, and feature blue sapphires, a unique design statement, and symbol of everlasting love. Every diamond is hand set and meets my minimum requirement of near colorless SI2-I1 quality. I am thrilled to share these exclusive designs with you.

HER BACKGROUND

Vera Wang, a native New Yorker, has loved fashion since childhood. After completing her studies at Chapin, Sarah Lawrence College and The Sorbonne, at age 23, Vera was named the youngest-ever Vogue fashion editor and stylist. She remained there for 16 years before moving to Ralph Lauren as a design director.

Not until after designing the gown for her own wedding in 1989, did Vera discover her love and natural talent for bridal design.

The following year she opened her flagship store on Manhattan’s famed Madison Avenue, introducing fashion to the bridal industry with contemporary designs and refined detailing. Since then, Vera has expanded her collections to include ready-to-wear, footwear, eyewear, fragrance, china and crystal, silver and gifts, bedding, mattresses, fine papers, luggage, hospitality and her first book, Vera Wang On Weddings. In 2005, the Council of Fashion Designers of America awarded Vera “Womenswear Designer of the Year.”
