Due to the unique pattern of each Antler bone shed, an inlay/sleeve will be unique, showcasing the natural beauty and variations in color and pattern of the antler bone. To maintain the appearance of your wedding band with an antler bone inlay, clean it with a damp cloth and mild soap. The antler bone inlay is not waterproof. Avoid soaking the band in water or using harsh chemicals, including chlorine and bleach, as they can damage the inlay. The antler bone inlay can be susceptible to damage from impacts or harsh conditions. Handle with care to maintain the inlay's appearance.
Ion plated Tungsten in rose, yellow, white, black, blue or brown is more difficult to scratch than traditional gold and silver. Plating can be damaged through contact with an abrasive surface or substance, chemicals, and hard surfaces (metal, wood, tile, etc). Plating can also be damaged by frequent exposure to hard water, or repeated contact with moderately hard surfaces.
Opal may be subject to enhancement processes or treatments using wax, resin or oil, which may not be permanent and may require special care. Opals should not be cleaned by steam, in an ultrasonic cleaner, or with any harsh cleaning agents or in warm soapy water because of its hydrophane nature. When cleaning your Opal jewelry, you should avoid chemicals of any type and do not submerge in water to soak, simply use warm water and a non-abrasive cloth or sponge. If your Opal gets wet, the color and transparency will change temporarily but it will revert to its original color in a few days. If you live in a desert climate with low humidity, it is advisable to store your Opal jewelry in a small zip lock bag with a damp cotton ball to provide a little moisture and avoid it drying out. Opals should also be protected from blows, as exposed corners can chip.
