Jewelry Sizing Guide | Jared
Whether your need to find the right size ring, bracelet, necklace, or watch we’ve got you covered from the first fit to when you need to resize after years of wear. Explore our tips and tricks for jewelry sizing so your pieces are both beautiful and comfortable.

Necklace Lengths

From short chokers to long pendants, necklace length can dramatically change the style of your jewelry. When choosing a necklace, think about how and where you’ll wear it. Are you choosing a comfortable chain necklace for everyday wear? Do you want evenly-spaced necklaces for a trendy layered look? Or do you need a pendant that sits perfectly above the neckline of a dressy look?

Start here for necklace lengths 101. Here are the most popular necklace lengths for men and women:
Placement Necklace Length (Women's) Necklace Length (Men's)
Choker-style, tight to the neck  14 to 16 inches  18 inches
On the collarbone  18 inches  20 inches
Slightly below the collarbone 20 to 24 inches  22 to 24 inches
Longer pendant length  25 inches and up 25 inches and up

Ring Sizes

Every time you buy a new ring, especially for stacked styles across multiple fingers, it’s a good idea to check your ring measurements. Too tight and a ring is uncomfortable to wear, and too loose your ring might slide right off! When you’re wondering ‘what is my ring size?’ find your fit with our ring sizing tool or try out another measuring method from our ring sizing guide.

Ring Resizing

After years of love and wear, jewelry like wedding rings, engagement rings, or heirloom rings may not fit quite like it used to. A too small or too large ring is not only uncomfortable to wear, there’s also more risk that your ring could get damaged or lost. In the hands of skilled jewelers many rings can be resized one to two sizes up or down. Get to know if your ring can be resized by reading our full ring resizing guide.
