Jared Giving Back

Giving Back

At Jared, we're not only concerned with making our customers happy, marking important occasions in their lives and giving gifts of love. We firmly believe in helping our community - especially those who need it the most - by giving back.
We partner with three organizations that concentrate on improving health and happiness, especially for children.

Jewelers for Children was founded in 1999 by the U.S. jewelry industry with the mission of helping children in need. Since its inception, JFC has donated more than $53 million to programs benefiting children whose lives have been affected by illness, abuse, or neglect through our charity partners St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®, the Make-A-Wish® America, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the National CASA Association. JFC also provides support to the Make-A-Wish® International and the Santa-America Fund.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital® is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. St. Jude has the world's best survival rates for the most aggressive childhood cancers, and treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since St. Jude opened more than 50 years ago.

St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent in the next decade. St. Jude freely shares its breakthroughs, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. With the continued support of customers and the commitment of our Team Members, we look forward to helping St. Jude make the world a better place for children.

Diamond Empowerment Fund (D.E.F)  was founded in 2007 by leaders in the diamond industry, music mogul/business entrepreneur Russell Simmons, and social justice advocate Dr. Benjamin Chavis, Jr.  The mission is to empower youth from countries where diamonds are found to become a new generation of ethical leaders through access to higher education.  To-date, over two thousand college age students across Africa and India have received financial assistance or have been awarded scholarships as a result of the generous support received from the diamond industry. Those that have since graduated have returned home to support their families and create opportunity in their communities.
