The Basics
Considered one of the most precious gems in the world, the diamond is eternally popular and forever stunning. While traditionally white, diamonds do range in hues from colorless to fancy (statured colored diamonds). Of course, one should always consider the 4Cs of diamonds when selecting one for optimal quality.

Diamonds have a physical property of strength that translates into a symbol of emotional strength and resilience. Some cultures view diamonds as lightning that has been captured and thus, they hold a power or force that can be bestowed upon the wearer. Similarly, fearlessness and courage are also qualities associated with diamonds.

Diamonds are the hardest mineral known to man, but even they require delicate care. To maintain its sparkle, a diamond should be cleaned in a solution of half-ammonia and half-cold water. Soak your diamond for 30 minutes and dry it with a lint-free cloth.

You can also bring your diamond jewelry to Jared to be cleaned. Be sure to have your diamond jewelry inspected every six months.
